S60 Fwd Coil Overs?

Does any company make a set of front and rear adjustable coil overs? From what I'm finding the rears are mostly just a lowering spring (KW)

18 Inch Pegs On 98 S70. Really Close Fit After Lowered

So I lowered my S70 and can't decide which wheels I want to run on it. Ive noticed the wheels sit REALLY close to the strut. Who else has this problem? I haven't heard any rubbing, but right now I have Atlantis wheels on one side and pegs on the other and they're both a tight fit. Do I HAVE to run spacers?

Cosmetic Questions For S70 (Seats/bumper/climate)

I had a couple of questions for my s70. First off the driver and pass seats are ripped to hell. Comfiest seats i've ever driven in but not visually appealing. I do not have heated seats but I have power driver seat and manual pass. Is it worth it/easy to install new seats from a junkyard or online? Or should I just have the reupholstered?

Second, my bumpers clear coat is popping from the heat outside when on calls. Would a body shop simply put new clear coat on or repaint it?

Third my climate control buttons seem a little messy. Scratched, melted looking. Where is a good place to buy those? Any guide to pull them out? I have the old style Climate.

Thank you, I'm sorry if these are really rudimentary questions.

Another Clutch Thread

Long story short, I am going to be bringing the power up a bit, about 300whp, in the c30. I am looking for a clutch that can handle that. I was thinking a s60R clutch should do. Anyone know if the s60R clutch will bolt up to the flywheel of the C30?

Wheel Fitment Database

I've been compiling a list of specs and pictures for myself when referencing what spec wheels will fit and how they will sit. I have recieved many PM's on here as well as StanceWorks asking for advice when it comes to wheel fitment. I decided that the best way to give back, would be to share my collection. This is a group of specs that I have collected from forum posts where people describe their wheel specs and give pictures. Of course, none of this is perfect, and when fitting wide wheels, or low offsets there is a lot more work than one might think. In most cases, fenders have been rolled, fender liners cut or removed, and suspension has been altered (either bags or coilovers). This is not meant to be a guide where you buy the exact same specs as the picture you like, but rather a way to reference what wheels will sit like in certain cases. If you have additional pictures and specs of other cars, please do not hesitate to post and I can add them to the original post.

Here are a couple of good links when considering wheel fitment and calculating offsets.

StanceWorks Fitment Bible, Lots of good links to websites for calculating offsets, rolling diameters, and wheel/tire fitment.

http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1542

WillTheyFit.com the single best wheel and tire size calculator, plug in specs of current wheels, and what you're changing to and it will calculate all of your offsets, poke, rolling diameter, etc.

http://www.willtheyfit.com/

As a General Rule of thumb, I use 17x7 et49 as my measurement to see if the wheel will fit to the inside of the car (specs of Neptunes on my S70), and then whatever wheel specs you get from the following, or your personal wheel choice to determine if they will fit.

Angel Eyes On X70 Abm Projectors?

$

Has anyone added angel eyes/halos to their ABM projectors? Seems like it wouldn't be too difficult and would be a decent look. I'm thinking of using the LED version Angel Eyes and possibly adding an LED strip over (in place of) the city light to match. Any special considerations? What is the inside diameter of the shroud around the projector? could I just attach the AE to that with adhesive or something? Dimensions of the city light strip? I was hoping to be able to order the correct size LED items before pulling the lights apart so I could get it done in a day or so. I'm thinking they would be powered through the current city light circuit.

Thanks,

Marty

Third Brake Light Swap / Delete

I have a 855 with the "tall" third brake light ( and rear window wiper). Can the shorter one from a V series be swapped? I'm thinking of a full width led strip, too, if I can find a tailgate panel that does not have a brake light.....

Quaife Diff Strength?

So I'm thinking of getting a Quaife after losing 2 stock diffs along with their half of the transmission casing in the last few months. Im just not sure about the differential's strength vs the stock one mainly in resistance to wheelhop. It would also be very nice to have the traction out of corners for track days, although I don't go super often so it would mainly be for street and drag strip driving. Or should I just not try to get good 60's on street tires and only launch really hard on slicks(if I get them).

What's Your Favorite Fmic?

Looking in to purchasing an aftermarket fmic. I'm looking for something that is completely drop in as I want my car to uphold its value. What have you run? and what did you think of it? Viva, Fuzzy, IPD and some guy off of Ebay are what I've looked at. What's evident to me is they all cost approximately the same price, so I'm just wondering if any one has an advantage over the other.

Thanks for the help=)

Dual Pump Setup Fwd X70/850

Does anybody have any pics of information about a dual pump setup on our cars? Do the baffles in the FWD tank cause any issues with strapping another pump to the stock housing?

I'm not looking into surge tank like Hussain but rather a dual pump (6an Y into a 8an main line) setup where the second pump would be activated by a 5psi pressure switch (activate in boost only).

Disregarding mounting and instillation issues can you simply bolt the 3.2L SI6 motor to the M66 transaxle?

Adjusting Wastegate Settings - Quick Question

$

Hey guys,

So, I went over to my buddy's house and he has a wastegate tool.  I helped him set his on his s60r, and then decided to check out my 850R's setting.  I was waaaaaay off, and set mine at 7 psi.  However, to do this, I had to thread the end cap all the way down.  Is this normal?  Am I setting mine too high (should I be closer to 4 or 5 psi)?  Is my actuator way worn, and I need a new one? My car is boosting soooooo much better now.  I have boost in the lower RPMs now, where as before it wouldn't hit until upper.  I can build up to 12PSI, and spike at 15.

Car has full OBX exhaust, snabb intake, IPD SRT5 intake, silicone lines, ARD TCV.  No tune yet.

Eec Plate Commitment Issue.

It took me forever to decide what I wanted on my last EEC plate. I was always thinking of other stuff i wanted it to say after i got it too. Then it got destroyed. I had the same problem figuring out what the hell i wanted this time around. So i ordered a blank one and made my own lettering so i can change it later. I used black CF vinyl I had laying around from decals I made earlier. Wasn't too cost effective for one plate after a frame, sidebar decal, and crazy shipping. But it was what i wanted. I think it looks good. I've had a lot of compliments on it. Enough locals are interested in them, so i got quotes for discounts and i'm gonna do a short run of them. I'll extend the offer and write something up with the details if there's interest here. Thanks for checking it out!

850 Sedan Boring Rear End

$

So it seems easy enough to put a front so mean on these cars that the rest of the body will think it's a Chevy Cavalier.

Who has found better options for the rear end? I have some ideas, one stemming from a lowered Subi Forester I found the other day.

I intend on getting a rear stock spoiler and painting it to match my 601 red. This is easy. However, I just performed over an hour of research on rear bumpers, and the closest I got was that yes, people have found dual exhaust bumper options for a WAGON.

The only 850 I know of to have stock dual exhaust is the Canadian 1997 850AWD. So, this means anything to do with a *70 model is not needed, even though I know people have already gone that far.

Don't worry about me contemplating how to get dual exhaust on a sedan, right now I'm just focusing on the outside because I have a guy who likes to paint for me.

When I took my front bumper cover off to paint it, the painted part was easily separated from the top gray plastic part. The rear bumper looks to be the same setup.

Does anyone know if it's possible to swap just the 'lower cover' as we shall call it, from an 850 wagon to a 850 sedan? If a 850 model with dual outs existed in Canada & Europe, I should be able to order that rear end part from SOMEWHERE on the internet, at least.

The other question is, anyone ever thought about putting rear mudflaps on (iPd sells the stock ones) and painting them to match the car? See Subi as follows...... if this site lets me upload pics of a quality size today.

Throttle Stuck Closed When Running After 960 Tb Install

$

Hey guys,

I swapped in a ME7 NA manifold with the 960 TB over the weekend, got it all setup and starts and runs fine but no throttle movement when the engine is running. When the engine is not running you can operate the throttle smoothly by hand or by the pedal. Once it's started it like the throttle plate is stuck shut from too much vaccuum, the gas pedal is hard and won't move easily unless you apply alot of force and it jerks open and revs high. I have tried to move the throttle by hand when running and it's similar to the pedal feel in that its much harder and jerks open.

What am I missing here? How can the linkage and throttle move freely when it's not running and then gets stuck once started.

I am supposed to drive this to work soon so any help would be great. Thanks very much!

Volvo 850 N/a Engine Swap

I have a 1995 Volvo 850 N/A completely stock. I would love to get some more horsepower out of it but I have looked a lot and cannot find anything to do to this engine. I've heard forced induction would not be compatible with the engine so I'm looking to get the engine out of a 95' 850 T5. First, would that work, and second, what engine should I be looking for. I realize it would be cheaper to just get the T5, but this is my dad's car and he won't sell it,
