So has anyone on here ever tried to convert the back seat of an S70 or 850 to dual bucket seats or captain chairs? Just an idea because my S70 isn't going to stay stock inside like my 850R has. I'm still looking at aftermarket seats trying to pick out the ones I want but I thought if I changed the back too it'd look cool. I'm thinkin the floor sits too high up to really do much or anything at all, hence why I'm starting the thread. I could have sworn I saw an 850 wagon that had dual captain chairs in the back

Vida/dice Questions
I'm trying to work through my M66 swap to resolve a code p1631, which is the code you'll get if you don't get the manual tune (which I did get from ARD). I've looked over my wiring about 3 different times now and everything looks correct (its actually pretty straight forward once you figure it out). ARD tuning is telling me they're pretty sure its not anything w/ the tune they did, that the tune seems to be correct, and this problem would be easier to solve if I had Vida/Dice.
Right now all I have is a generic OBDII code scanner. Not that I'm particularly excited about dropping another $200 into this project, but if I get it, is the Vida/Dice difficult to figure out?
Also, I see on ebay there are different versions of it (2011A, 2012D, and 2013A). Which one do I need? Would the one in my link suffice???

Debate: Should I Be A Snabb Here?
Been pokin around on the Snabb site for about an hour.
Very happy to see that it's right in Ithaca NY! Now if only I still lived in Cortland....
I'm confused as to the intake they are selling. Is the intake manifold simply an 850 non-turbo manifold? As in, one of the 5 I see every time I go to the junkyard? If so, it would be wayyy cheaper to buy the surrounding parts from them (larger throttle body, hoses, linkage....you get it) and just grab the NA manifold from the yard next time I go pokin around.
More importantly:
The debate part of my question is this-
If the NA manifold has better flow.... why would Volvo purposefully use a restrictive one on turbo models?
BTW my car is an LPT. I'm assuming that means I still have the same intake as a T5 or any other 850 turbo model, but I honestly wouldn't know. This is my 1st and only FWD jobber.

X70 Front Bumper Bar W/ Spot Or Flood Lights.
Well, I just picked up another volvo. Actually my first AWD which im excited about.. is anyone aware of a bumper bar that we could add spot or flood lights to, maybe even bolt on? Much like the newer xc70's or similiar to a mini cooper.

97 850R, Want A New Head Unit
I need to do away with my old and broken(no CD playing) stock head unit in my 97 850..
Is there anything I need to know before ordering a new one? Crutchfield includes the dash kit and harness when you spend over $130 on a stereo, would there be anything else I need besides those?

Reverse Lock Out Idea For M66 Swap
Can anyone consider this idea and tell me if I'm missing something?? While I've only driven my car about 7 miles since my swap, I can see 4th to 5th, and 5th to 6th being a bit of a nuisance because the reverse lock out doesn't work.
The reverse lockout basically works by simply putting 12v to it. What I'm thinking of doing is using a relay and a clutch switch so the lock out is on until you step on the brake pedal; the only way the car would go into reverse is if you had your foot on the brake. The clutch and the brake pedals both have the same holes for this clutch switch, so you can mount it on the brake pedal as well as the clutch pedal.
Before I do this, can anyone think of a reason why this wouldn't work??

Which Rn To Get?
hey guys, blew my motor up last night somehow....rod went through the block just under the intake mani. still need to pull it out and figure out the cause.
but now this gives me the chance to go with a newer rn motor. i just cant decide on which one to get.. 2.3l? i kinda wanna go with the 2.5l just because my power goals are modest and the 2.5l sounds very tourqey and responsive. what about 2.4l from a s60 t5? let me know guys thanks

V70R Amp In An 850
Can I use this amp in an 850 as plug and play?

Muffler Or Resonator?
Hey guys!
So I finished the last step to stage 0 my car today. After that, at the mechanics suggestion for yielding a bit more power out of the car, went to an exhaust place and took the muffler out. Right now I am just running a straight pipe. Honestly, it really isn't that loud. The only problem is, at 65 MPH, drone starts to start, which is at about 2500 RPM. The straight pipe is great at every other speed except 65 MPH.
My question is, would a resonator alone get rid of the drone that I am getting at 65 MPH? Or should I put a 5X8X14 Magnaflow at the end of the exhaust. If both would do it, I might drive with the current exhaust a bit more to really decide but I would probably go with the Magnaflow just to quiet it down a bit.

Bent Valve, Dropping In An Rn Motor. Minor Questions.
Hey guys. Well after killing my 250k t5 engine ive talked to nick at re-volv and am probably going to pick up an rn motor out of a 2001 s60 t5 that will be dropped into my 98 s70 t5m. I have an r clutch and tob that will go in while the motor is out. After some searching, ive found that the front motor mount will be different (nick will supply the correct one)
Ive also found that i should use the newer thermostat housing? And have also seen multiple people have to drill out the cams to accomodate forthe blanking plates behind the distributor and cam sensor. Is this true? Have also seen people say you need to install a rear cam seal on the intake aswell.
Would just like to know anything i might need before i go balls deep. This is my first engine swap, im only 18, but i want to learn, and have a haynes manual on my side. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Is It Possible To Install Sequential Led Arrows For Side Mirror Turn Signal On 98 S70?

I recently bought LED arrow indicator for my 1998 s70 glt that i put behind the side mirror glass.
the question is>>> is the side mirror glass will make the LED light travel or pass through it?
i noticed that if i want to take the glass out will still have the heater thing stick to it..

Updating 2000 S70 For Iphone 5S Hands Free

Fuel Pump And Injectors ?
I have 2 questions.
Anyone know the stock HP capacity of the factory fuel pump on an 01XC70?
Are there any larger oem style direct fit injectors available besides the green ones?
I'm just trying to be frugal with my budget and spending $450 on injectors from viva doesn't
seem logical=P

Performance Main Bearings
What other options are there for Main bearings other than OEM, Glyco or Toga?
I dont want Glyco standard bearings and Toga's are out of stock with no ETA.
Sealed power (which is Federal Mogul) does not seem to make Mains.
What other options are out there.

Fender Rolling In The Bay Area (Ca)
Hey all,
For those of you located in the Bay Area, do you know of any decent places around here to have fenders rolled? I rolled my fronts myself, but need the rears rolled to accommodate 20mm spacers without destroying my tires. If anyone rents them out, I'd just do it myself and save myself some money as well.
