A main issue with X70 window switches is their tendency to become sticky and/or gunked up over time. In the past I have tried multiple cleaners to repair this problem, however, most would completely strip the rubberized coating or remove the grey coating on the switches. Oreo931 suggested that I try the method listed below as a last resort and the results were awesome. The sticky residue was removed, revealing a new layer of rubberized coating. A quick, easy, cheap and effective fix. I wanted to share this with others as many end up purchasing new window switches instead. Hope this helps!
Tools: 1 cup of water or spray bottle, toothbrush, and a microfiber towel.
Procedure: Soak toothbrush in water. Scrub switch for 5-10 seconds. Wipe switch with microfiber towel. Repeat 2-3 times until switch is clean. Wipe up any water left behind. Done!
