Hello guys, this is my third post here on this forum.
I have a problem with my Volvo s70 GLT 1998 regarding the installation of the turbo boost gauge.
I recently purchased a Defi turbo boost gauge and I think I did not install it properly since it is turning on but the arrow does not move.
I'll explain the process I followed to install it, please let me know if I did anything wrong.
First I tried to find a good connection for my turbo boost.
At the back of the gauge there are two ways out: one for the lights and the second one for boost sensor.
I started with the power lights which has four cables : -red 12v positive, -black ground plus two other cables one yellow and the other one white but I don't know what they are.
I tested the last two cables (yellow and white). The white one gave me white lights, the yellow one gave me a red colour in the lights. So I connected the white.
The other way was for the boost sensor which had two wires coming out: black and red.
I have no idea where to connect those.
In the package I found included the boost sensor and I looked at its cable.
I found three wires coming out of it: white, black and red.
I already connected the pipe coming out from the boost sensor to the vacuum tree.
Here is my dilemma: how do I connect those three wires coming out of the boost sensor (white , black and red) to the wires coming out of the boost gauge which are only black and red?
**Note** I already connected the black to the black and the red to the red but I left the white since I didn't know where to connect it to. The arrow in the boost gauge is not moving. It stays always on -1.
I posted this from my smartphone but as soon as I am home I'll attach photos for more details.
Thank you!
