99 C70 Coupe LPT 2.4
Just got my 3" angled downpipe, 3" high flow magnaflow cat, and new magnaflow muffler installed. Sounds nice, and they drilled in a 2nd o2 bung. Day before I went in for installation my check engine light came on but I didn't get it checked out, just reset my ECU to see if it'd come back so it went into the shop with no lights on the dash. Yesterday a day after driving with the new exhaust the light came back on and I got it checked this time , P0422. I believe this must have been the same code that was on the day before.
I replaced the J hose back in February, I think that was the same code then.
The shop said the rubber part around the rear o2 sensor was falling apart, so he believes that could be a culprit along with adding a spacer. But if the light was on the day before I went in for installation, then I'm not sure!
Any input on this guys? Thanks!
Wanted to add that recently I threw my HD TCV back in and adjusted my wastegate to about 3.5psi. Also replaced power steering reservoir..think that's it. So I'm just wondering if the rear o2 was bad from even before the exhaust work
