Engine Turned Into Smoke Machine... *sigh*

Hey all,

Sooo, after a hard pull through 3rd into 4th onto the freeway my car decided it wanted to start pouring smoke out of the back and running like garbage. I immediately eased up on her and shifted up into 5th. At first I thought "well, sh-.. there goes my turbo" assuming I blew out the seals on it, as my temps were just fine. But as I made my way home I noticed the car felt rough and sounded as though it wasn't firing on all cylinders. About a mile away from my house, the engine light starts flashing and then stays lit. I park it and listen for a second, and can't hear anything out of the ordinary. Vacuum was right around where it always is, but the car is still smoking(I should add that I couldn't see any smoke while maintaining cruising; Only when I let off is it bellowing smoke). I turned it off, popped the hood, and got out to find the engine bay covered in oil. I didn't look too closely, as I was really just bummed by this. I just swapped in an RN a little over a month ago, and then this happens. Such are the woes of modifying a car, I suppose. Anyway, my question is: Does it sound as though my engine is FUBAR'd, or could it be something which wouldn't require me rebuilding it? If a rebuild is in order, I don't know that I have the drive to do it after just having swapped it.. May have to say goodbye to the wagon. I'll post a video tomorrow when I get a chance to have a proper look at the car. Thanks in advance guys.

Chris
