I already have some mods (see my signature) and I'll be turning up boost and fine tuning myself the car in the next weeks/months.
At the moment with all the mods I have and running only 14/15psi I'm sucking more than 1000kg/hr of air (3 months ago without greens, walbro pump and s90maf I dynoed 305bhp with only 14psi) and I'll be turning up boost to arround 20psi or so.
So I may expect some considerable power gains with 20psi of boost (maybe I'll get close to 350bhp, who knows) - I'll be also upgrading to 3,25" maf as well as a higher pressure FPR.
I'm still running stock exhaust mani and stock DP but I don't have cat anymore. Once I don't want to build the block any soon, my biggest fear when I start turning up boost will be EGT (due to stock mani and stock DP restrictions) so I'm considering to upgrade to a S60R mani and put a 3" DP.
As I will have to adjust cam timing and take off cams cover due to a slight oil leak there I though that would be a good oportunity to upgrade the exhaust manifold (this oil leak exists for a while and is likely due to a bad sealing when I changed headgasket).
What I would like to know is if for my power target and all the mods, fitting the R mani and 3" DP will really worth it. I'm not sicking power gains with these mods, just engine reliability.
I know I can put an EGT sensor when start turning up boost and see if I should proceed with this mods or not.
But if you guys say "Don't waste your time and money putting and EGT sensor with the stock mani etc. because with that stock setup and power goals you'll definitely be running dangerous EGT" I would seriously think about doing this upgrades without put EGT first etc.
About fitting the R mani, I've some questions:
1. The stock mani set of gaskets will fit right? (of course I would put a new one)
2. The stock mani/turbo gasket will fit right? (of course I would put a new one)
3. The stock studs and nuts will fit right? (probably would use new ones)
PS: I'm talking about bhp and not whp because this is the best refference for me once I'll go always to the same dyno (MAHA LPS3000).
