To increase airflow, some folk swap in a 3" MAF housing. But it is just the housing and not a new element, right? At what point is this a good upgrade? 19t?
I read that the stock element metering capacity is exceeded very easily, so the larger MAF housing is only effective if the tune can take advantage of it, correct?
Is it accurate to conclude then that the MAF system is really only useful for part throttle, around town emissions and efficiency? Are there plug&play larger MAF elements?
