My leather covered 5sp shift boot on the 850 no longer stays in place at the console end. Found the plastic bracket inside the rubber boot part that snaps into the console openng to hold the boot down broke at the clip locations. I tried super glueing the broken parts together using rubber bands to maintain pressure while it dried overnite, but it broke apart again after a few shifts.
Anybody fix or maybe fab a replacement hold down for this flimsy plastic bracket?
