I thought something stupid would finish my car off, and I guess I was right. I spun the number 3 rod bearing. I was cruising, not racing like usual, to pick up an old friend of mine when I stepped in it a little to pass someone. Nothing major, just third gear at 65mph. The TB hose popped off, so I stopped at my exit about half of a mile down to fix it. As I was tightening the clamp(engine was still running) the overflow bottle started oozing oil/coolant slurry. I got the car home to hear the sound of a rod slapping the crank. I topped the oil off and drove it very cautiously but the oil light never came on. It just started slapping.
My question is this. Does anyone have any suggestions for a swap? I've read the MT swap thread and I could probably use a little assistance in the wiring department. I don't want to start chopping wires only to screw myself. The link in the thread is kind of lacking in details. I have the engine part figured out. I'm just going to drag and drop an N/A and add a touch of boost to keep it simple for now. I'm more interested in the manual transmission.
