I put my M56H, into a 1996 volvo 850 turbo wagon. It runs a lot differently, and I have lots of DTC's. P0108 MAP circuit high. (wtf this car does not even have a MAP sensor???). p0123 throttle position sensor circuit high i am running at 100% throttle position, according to my scanner no matter if i unplug or plug in my tps.... it stays at 100%. p0705, Transmission range sensor A circuit (PRNDL input) The only thing that i could not figure out is where the grey plug goes, back by the 02 sensor plugs at the end of the loom. does that go into the auto tranny ? I also have the flashing arrow of transmission failure, how do i make that go away ? i don't even have an auto in there anymore (just remove the bulb ?), and when i remove my TCM, the car runs pig rich, and barely wants to run (why cant i just pull it out?).
Now that the codes are done, here is a little info on how it is running: It is a Manual T5 ECU, it has been in the car for about a year and it has never acted like this. With the auto, rpm dropped a lot faster. Since i put the m56 in the rpm takes a LOT longer to drop (think of a balloon that has sat out a day and slowly drops to the floor, its about that slow). When i start the car cold, the idle goes to about 1500, and stays there until i unplug and re plug in the IAC valve and give it a blip of throttle. The idle also feels labored.
I have no idea what is going on. Any help would be appreciated.
UPDATE 1 **
I tested my Tps, and i am getting 5v from the plug, no matter if its plugged in or not. that tells me there is probably a short somewhere. but it is raining and i do not want to do any wiring in the rain. I still have no clue why i cant pull out my TCU. if i do, the car barely wants to run. Idle drops to 400, exhaust smells really rich. It may have something to do with my TPS signal ?
UPDATE 2 **
I pulled my TCM, and unplugged my IAC, and the car started idling right where it needed to be. I plugged it back in, and it went back down to 500-800. Would the fact that my TPS is showing 100% cause the idle decrease ?
