P80 Manual Swap

All,

Going to swap an RN engine into my newest purchase and have a couple of questions.  I have an S60 T5 manual with the dual mass clutch and M56LK.  I like it but the shifting is a bit, well truckish seems to be harsh (grew up on a farm so its not that bad) but my previous manual transmission cars (Honda prelude and accords) were much smoother shifting.  I guess notchy is a kinder description of the P2 platform & M56LK (in my experience) in general.  Not fond of having to switch gears in an intersection from a stoplight due to the LK gearing & i don't want to wind the motor way up in 1st so am thinking about doing an M56H swap while I am swapping the engine anyway.  Not enough funds for gripper or quaife at the moment but its not going to be a huge horsepower car < 300 ish- total guess on hp - and will be my daily driver.  Really love the manual as I get better in town gas mileage -  22 with ac on and ARD green tune - than my previous daily, a 2004 accord 4 cylinder automatic - hovered around 19 - 20. Like the ARD tune, it appears I got a decent one - have gotten 33 on highway.

Sorry so long and winded but would like to know:

1.  if p80 shifter is any different than p2 platform, perhaps smoother I hope.

2.  Mileage in town and highway from your own experience - driving sanely ;).  RN engine will have cone filter, drop-in intercooler, 3" downpipe and exhaust all the way back, not sure on tune, will probably upgrade to Motronic 4.4 from 4.3, toying with idea of tuning myself.

Think that is it, TIA for replies and let me know if I need to fill out any more mods.  Still digging into so discovering upgrades as I start cleaning it up.
