M4.3 -> M4.4 Conversion, Few Issues

Hey guys!

So i finally got everything working perfectly on my t5r after my manual swap. I have been running the stock t5r m4.3 tune and it has been working great! I usually boost to about 3/4 of the white bar and there is tons of power, occasionally under overboost mode (240hp mode or w.e) if will boost to near the end of the white. After daily driving the stock tune for a while i decided it was time to pop in a M4.4 t5m tune.

I bought a s70 t5 607 ECU and flashed a 608(t5m) tune and everything with the flash went perfectly.

I just have a few concerns about my new tune and about the compatibility between m4.3 components and m4.4 components.

  1. First thing that I noticed about the new m4.4 tune is that there doesnt seem to be any sort of boost control. My m4.3 tune would boost to 3/4 of the white, while the m4.4 tune will boost infinitely (About at the end of the white by 3500RPM and i got it way past the end of the white, almost 90 degrees pointing towards the speedo). I think the issues is that M4.4 is not compatible with the BCS and in order to fix this I should either A. Swap out to a s70 TCV or B. get a AC Delco unit.
  2. My m4.3 tune has A LOT more power everywhere, which struck me pretty odd vs the new m4.4 tune. I think the reason is due to my over boosting. What i think is happening is that since the m4.4 has no boost control(because of the reason above) it is boosting so high and so quickly that ECU is pulling mad timing which is making the tune feel so sluggish.

Im just a little confused as to why the m4.3 tune feels so much better than the m4.4 tune when m4.4 is supposed to be the better EMS and by the looks of it has a more aggressive and powerful tune.

Any comments, concerns and help would be greatly appreciated.

As always, Simply Volvo.
