Just drove my RN swap for the first time, and I am a bit alarmed. I had a buddy who is a Volvo tech replace the t-belt/wp/idler/tensioner while the motor was on the stand. Prior to this we removed the vvt solenoids and installed block off plates. At idle the vvt hubs make alot of noise similar to a diesel as soon as throttle is applied it goes away. Is this normal? I thought I read somewhere that these make some noise when blocked off? Car drove VERY strong to 15psi till the charge pipe blew off the tb! Lol! TIA!
