I'm not used to having the factory boost control, but I figured I would leave it alone on this car until it started causing problems. That sure didn't take long...Lol!
Car has a stock ECU and no MBC...only non-stock parts were an N/A TB, l/w crank pulley, and cone filter. Boost would spike as high as 20-21psi when it dropped gears, then settle...it was always right at about 9.7psi peak.
Added a 3" cat and 3" cat-back exhaust (basically straight pipe) today. DP is still stock. All of a sudden, boost spikes went from 20 to 30+psi, and boost constant at WOT is now above 13psi and tripping the fuel cut. I can't floor it anymore.
Will the car learn, or do I need to dial back the WGA rod a couple turns? TIA!
