So im still in the process of putting an RN from an 01 s60 t5 into my 98 s70 t5m. Some final questions before i bolt it in and fire it up.
1) i seem to be getting mixed answers. Do i have to block off the vvt solenoid port or just leave it unplugged. The threads ive read seem to be 50/50.
2) Does the engine mount near the timing belt hve to be changed? If so, can you guys steer me in the right direction for the correct one?
3) When drilling out the cams for the distributor and cam sensor, do i line up the cams on TDC, then put on the backing plate(which should line up due to the slots in the cams being offset) and is the drill size 7/16ths?
Any other things you guys can think of that is commonly overlooked. I already have the top torque mount and front engine mount, thermostat etc.
