Picked up the iPd boost gauge and pod mount. Eventually I'll probably get a wideband A/F meter and oil pressure gauge, then go w/ the 3 pod pillar mount but this will do for now. Looks pretty ghetto, but it functions. I painted it w/ SEM graphite interior paint.
Is this the correct spot to tie in the vacuum? That line its T'd into comes right out of the manifold. Also not sure I'm super confident in the "press fit" vacuum hose fittings on the gauge and the T, but I've never used them either. A lot easier than a compression fitting.
So here's what I have. At an idle I'm showing about -9, and at WOT all I can get is about 6 lbs of boost. This is all knew to me so bear w/ me . The 6 lbs of boost would explain the hesitation or choking I get at about 2500 RPM, then the boost drops for a bit and picks back up again, but never beyond 6 lbs. The weird thing is I throw an overboost CEL when I floor it.
Does this mean I have a vacuum leak? Or that my turbo is only boosting to 6 lbs? Or potentially both?
