Clutch Options For Over 400Whp

Need to gather experienced info regarding higher HP application clutch options.I posted this over on TB, and forget to post it here. This has been an ongoing issue, mostly documented in my looong thread.

Background: running a SPEC Stage III+ (full face) DM setup on a lightweight Kalmar Union billet steel flywheel - intended for DM style clutches (shallow offset PP). M66 AWD transmission, now with Quaife 14J.

Since last summer: Running PTE6262bb .82a/r turbo @ 17-18psi, now at 21psi, still on ME4.4 TTusb setup right now.

After clutch & flywheel were initially bedded late last spring, I experienced slip in peak torque range (approx 4,4-4,6k rpm). Some valve train damage resulted. Turned out the KU SM flywheel was not offset for US based 9mm thickness discs, and so I shimmed the pp .050" to get the offset in specification. Drove the wagon mostly at around 17-18psi until recently when I started remapping for 20-22psi. So, about 10K miles were put on the clutch.

At this point, I developed significant right front wheel hop in 3rd and 4th gears in peak torque range if I didn't progressively up the throttle to WOT. When I didn't get the hop, I got slippage. Running 235/45x18's.

Removed trans, installed Quaife 14J (AWD forward diff), and removed flywheel to be properly cut for .353" disc offset. Disc had just under 1mm wear (!) - seems like much wear for only 10k, but I figured the slip events had a large impact on that. Still have about 2/3 original material, should be plenty I would reckon. I installed brand new Volvo control arms as well, to see if that helped hop situation. Bedded resurfaced flywheel, then started running higher boost again. Clutch slip is back.

I'm going for an AWD Dyno session on Tuesday, so I will have some solid numbers to add, but I'm very doubtful I'm any where close to the rating of the clutch in place. Hence my dilemma. I have heard a six puck may be better, however this is a street car and I don't want to stress the AWD with excess chatter, if that really is a concern with 6 pucks.

Has anyone here had good success with Spec products at Higher HP levels?

What other options are there really? South Bend has dicked over a friend of mine repeatedly, to the point I wouldn't touch anything they offer.

I did read through some threads on TB - one of Nathan's flat flywheel thread, but didn't see anything really pertinent  for my situation. These numbers are good to know, though. Centerforce, like Kenny, maybe?

Thanks in advance.
