So over the weekend we had a stretch of 50* weather as apposed to the ~30* it's been, so I tackled my PCV system and installed IPDs I take manifold spacer. Here are my impressions!
First, for anyone considering doing their own PCV system but aren't sure if they can do it, just go for it. I was very intimidated at first, but as soon as I started I realized it's nothing but some bolts and clamps...no big deal. I found with the removal of the fan shroud, and upper intercooler hose (just the top most rubber (or silicone) elbow, throttle body cover, and spark plug cover, that this job could be done from above the car. I did jack
Mine up, but only found myself beneath the car when I dropped something. Those are some tips for the PCV system.
For the spacer, definitely use the included bolts, I tried re using the originals, they were just short enough to make me think I was stripping out the block, but the longer included bolts do the job. I haven't taken any actual temp readings, but by feeling with my hand it's noticeably cooler. Performacr wise, no difference on the butt dyno, but I'm sure a couple HP is to be expected.
All in all, not a hard job, and the spacer seems worth getting while your doing the pcv system.
Sorry if this should be under maintenence, I wasn't too sure where to post. Regardless, hopefully this helps someone out
