everything started when i was 16 and in the market for a new car after searing cl every day i came across a 96 volvo 850r, which i had never heard of after a quick search in google i had found my new car. with impressive specs like 240bhp and 221tq i was impressed. the next day i go to check out the car it was a 96 volvo 850r black with tan interior had 3" full exaught and ipd tune i picked up the car from a shop specilalized in volvo (AE motorsports). being a kid and with a somewhat quick car i started to street race it friday and saturday nights after about 6-8 months of abuse the auto transmission started to go out by that time i had made a reputation for volvos. i keeped on driving the car intill the trany finally gave out. back on cl i was looking for a parts car or a used transmission to fixed my 850r about a week of using cl non stop i came across a 95 yellow t-5r that had been crashed and the owner was looking to part out or sell it as a whole. i contacted the guy and made arrangements to pick up the car that weekend with my dad. after a 3 hour drive i arived to the place were the car was being stored. the guy was the son of the oginal owner that bought the car. the damage was right fender, hood, head lights, radiator, radiator susport. on the drive home it was decided it was not going to be parted out but fixed instead. the next day after we got the car home we worked on the car and fired it up then it was off the the body shop. i swaped out the exaught and tune from the 850r to the t5r and drove the car my senior year of high school.. about 8 months of having the car i got bored of it beening stock and i started to buy parts with the money i had saved up working in a resturant. first i replaced my blown shocks with bilsteins and h and r spring to my surprise instead of lowing the car it lifted the car about 1/2.
. then i cut 1 and 1/2 coils off the front and about 1 coil of the rear to give it the look i was going for. my second big purchase was a 5 speed manual swap kit off of a guy i meet in a local car meet. i was looking for someone to do the swap but i didnt have the funds to have a shop do it and i didnt want some back yard mechanic doing some half job on my baby so i sayed **** it at the age of 17 almost 18 my friend and i manual swaped my volvo it took us about 3 week of and hour when ever we had time to work on the car. the swap came out good and i knew it was done right ( besides the plastic click thats holds in the shifts broke and i had to push down to get into first or second). next upgrades were 16t turbo and white injectors. after 3 months of fun with what felt like a new car with the manual instead of the auto i let my friend drive it and he broke 3rd gear. after finding another m56h at a local junk yard i swaped it in, but while i had the engine out i said **** it again and bought a k24 turbo, ard billet wheel, ard tcv, na cams (still havent installed), na intake manifold, R exaught manifold, 3" dp, 3" throdal body, fmic, and ard tune. when i was finshed i took it to the AE motorsports (now good friends) to have everything checked out adjusted a few things. the car ran really strong but still having a few isseus like full spool at 4k. things i bought since then some hre 543 i lucked out in and some kw v2 coil overs. my plan for the car is never to sell it put a lsd, full forged engine, gtx turbo, track car.
