I've been searching hi and lo here for 850/S70/V70/C70 P80 manual trannies up to 2000 but to no avail.
I have a friend that is parting P2 cars, but I need CERTAINTY on some aspects.
My car is an 1998 S70 2.5T Auto.
The donor car would be any post-2001 S60/V70/S80 with FWD, 5 speed gearbox
My punctual questions are - you could just answer yes/no or detail it if you kindly have time for it :
1). Does the P2 M56 gearbox directly bolt on to my engine ?
2). Do I need a dual-mass flywheel or does a P80 single mass flywheel fit on the P2 clutch ?
3). Does the 850R clutch fit or I must use the P2 clutch/plate ? I know I must use an internal slave.
4). Are the P2 shifter cables different to the P80 shifter cables ? Can I use the P80 shifter with P2 cables ? If I must use a P2 shifter, will it bolt on to my P80 console tunnel ?
5). Does the master/slave clutch on the P2 fit on the P80 ?
6). Can I use the P80 pedal assembly or do I need a P2 ? If I must use a P2, can I keep the P80 accelerator pedal ? (mine is 1998, I have throttle cable).
7). Will the hidraulics from the P2 fit on the P80 ? (pressure pipes from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder) ?
8). Will my auto trans axles fit the P2 gearbox or should I also buy those along ?
Thank you a lot, maybe I'll have more compatibility questions further on as I'm studying more manual swaps other did... I'm asking all this because of the unavailability of some parts here, and I don't want to buy 80% of the parts and not be able to assemble because of the lacking 20%...
